RPAS 3100: Introduction to Interdisciplinary RPAS Applications. This new online course is the first of its kind at BCIT. As a general elective, it’s available to all students. It’s the first course designed to be taught by six different instructors, who introduce the students to RPAS applications from their specific field of expertise, including photogrammetry, LiDAR, forest and natural areas management, storytelling, videography and cinematography, and aeronautical engineering. The students have each instructor for two weeks, with each week comprising a one-hour lecture followed by a two-hour lab.

MDIA 3140: New Technologies. This 12-week, full-time course touches on RPAS safety and applications to media, journalism, and storytelling. It is offered as part of the New Media Design and Web Development Certificate—Diploma Pathway program.

SURV 1125: RPAS Applications for Geomatics. Introductory part-time studies course on RPAS-based photogrammetry and mapping with an emphasis on applications for Geomatics. Initially designed for face-to-face delivery, it was recently (April) converted to fully online and runs for six consecutive Saturdays.
