What you need to know if you are injured on campus:
Level 2 Occupational First Aid attendants are available at the five main BCIT campuses. Our security guards are also Level 1 trained and have first aid kits available to them. Our attendants can walk you through the first aid process and any follow up appointments that you might need.
All injuries sustained on BCIT campuses or while working on BCIT business must be reported to first aid. You can easily request first aid, share your location, or report a concern through the Safety Wise app.
Steps to take:
- Call First Aid to let first aid know that you require assistance, and then proceed to the first aid location or request that first aid attend to your location
- Let your supervisor/instructor know
- Report your incident:
- If you are an employee, complete the online Report of Injury/Illness/Exposure form in IRIS
