Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the candidate will be able to:

• apply an adequate technology information system vocabulary through participation in class presentations and case study analysis.
• demonstrate an adequate knowledge of information system design, evaluation and acquisition by performing team assessments and participating in group discussions of these processes.
• describe specific functional applications in regard to how IT supports various business functions including accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, production and operations management.
• interpret reports at all levels based on the uses of and relationships between Manufacturing, Human Resources and Technology Information Systems, and synthesize these into making actionable decisions for a business.
• analyze complexity and diversity of the accounting department's data gathering process and apply this information for generating more effective solutions for problems.
• demonstrate the ability to plan for new IT solutions based on the above concepts and through the analysis of practical examples and case studies.
