Course details
Starting with development of a fundamental understanding of electrical circuits and electrical and electronic components, this course develops the capacity to interpret circuit configuration and employ an effective diagnostic strategy to identify basic circuit failures. In addition to the 24 hours of instructor guided course delivery, each week students are assigned approximately 5 additional hours of self-paced online interactive knowledge building assignments.

- Explain how voltage, current and resistance is applied/distributed throughout series and parallel circuits,
- Demonstrate efficient and effective meter use,
- Describe semi-conductor components and operating principles,
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams,
- Develop and apply effective electrical diagnostic strategy.
