The music business continues to evolve at an alarming rate, as do the opportunities to earn a living from it. The bad news is that the industry will support very few, so artists need to do it all themselves. The good news is that you can! Artists, managers, studio operators, promoters, and more have been empowered to manage their own careers. The new model reduces the need to rely on the old machine of labels, promoters, and publishing companies, and puts all of the tools into the artist’s hands. Learn to utilize these skills effectively and strategically to advance your music career.
This program is entirely entrepreneurial in focus. The objective is to put you in control of every aspect of your career. This is not a program for those simply curious about music. This program is designed for those who intend to pursue a career in music. Assignments are designed to help each individual in class to move their own career forward. Come to class with a goal, and we will work together to achieve it.
Through this program, you will learn to run your own business. Every assignment is an individualized project designed to elevate your career. You will meet industry professionals in your chosen field.
